Sunday - Beijing
I swear, I freaked out when I found out there was a Mediterranean resturant in Beijing(Pitta Plus)- and then I freaked out more because I found out we were eating there. Well, actually, it was technicallly Israeli, but there was Chicken Sharwma and mint tea and baklava annnnnnd HOUKAH! not that I smoked it there, but I was in heaven. It totally catered to my Mediterranean obsession, okay, okay, my Moroccan obsession. Anyway, it makes China all the more my second home and it just proves that there is a Mediterranean trend going around the world. Here are a couple shots I took to prove my being there.

I'm happy for you that you found a place with Chicken Sharwma and fine dessert. Grandfather used to smoke a water pipe...which I found very impressive! The temple pictures are very interesting.
We have a Mediterranean-type restaurant where I had a beef Sharwma, hummus, and Tabouleh salad last week. Occasionally, I bake a Khoubiz (Lebanese Flat Bread) on an overturned wok. This is very good with yogurt cheese and hummus. Enough, I'm getting hungry!
Aw, my little munchkins in the same picture with a hookah - now that's not a picture I thought I'd ever see!!
Was the food as good as it looks? I'm sure the mint tea was exquisite, considering...
Anyway, Sounds like you're having lots of fun! That makes me happy. but I do miss you. : )
XOXO
I can not believe there are some Bakhlava in Beijing !!!
It is a dream .
For that reason I will go there pretty soon ...
Glad you had a good time!
